Nicke Andersson and Alex Hellid's band records Only Shreds Remain at Sunlight in 1988, where guitarist Leffe Cuzner turns every knob on a Boss HM-2 to ten and the Stockholm buzzsaw is born. Andersson says the band was trying to copy the underground American scene, naming Death, Possessed, Repulsion and Autopsy. Splits in 1989 over songwriting; the remainder becomes Entombed and Johnny Hedlund founds Unleashed.
