Scum (1987, Earache) invents grindcore. In April and May 1990 the band spends two months at Morrisound making Harmony Corruption with Scott Burns, sleeping at the Morbid Angel house, with Glen Benton and John Tardy guesting on Unfit Earth; the record turns the band toward death metal. Jesse Pintado from Terrorizer and Barney Greenway from Benediction join in 1989 after Bill Steer and Lee Dorrian leave. Three John Peel sessions.
Lineup: Barney Greenway (vocals, 1989 to present), Shane Embury (bass, 1987 to present), Danny Herrera (drums), John Cooke (guitar); Mick Harris, Bill Steer, Lee Dorrian, Justin Broadrick, Jesse Pintado, Mitch Harris earlier
