Steve Asheim's Carnage disbands in 1986; with Eric and Brian Hoffman he recruits Glen Benton in 1987 and the band becomes Amon, with the Feasting the Beast (1987) and Sacrificial (1989) demos. The name changes to Deicide in 1989. After leaving Deicide in 2004 the Hoffmans revive Amon and release Liar in Wait (2012).
